Bad Day At The Office

Wednesday, 11 March 2009
I had a bad day at work today which has left me kind of deflated and knocked my confidence. Just before I was due to leave I took a call from an agent who wasn't happy with some news I had emailed. He basically got nasty with me and tried to bully me into going against rules and EU Regulations. I managed to keep my composure on the phone, but the minute I rang off I just burst into tears. I don't like confrontation and just freeze. I just kept repeating that whilst I appreciated his predicament, I could not go against scheme rules. I'm just lucky that my boss is so supportive.

I'm just a bit down about it all now as I take everything to heart and find it very hard to forget about these things. Jon just keeps telling me to think about the Hobbycraft show at the NEC on Friday which I have been looking forward to for weeks. I wish it was Thursday now and that I didn't have work tomorrow.

Thanks for listening. I hope to have some cards for you soon.

Oh Sarah, thats so awful. Sorry you had to go through that.

I face lots of tricky customers at work and have often ended up in tears, so I know just how you feel. I end up constantly reminding myself that its not a personal attack, they are just getting annoyed at the situation, not me.

Like hubby says.... just think of all that delicious stash waiting for you at the NEC....!

    Big hugs from me ~♥~

Hi Sarah, I hope your weekend is going much better now, with that nasty day behind you. I was checking for an email addy, so I wouldn't have to answer here, but I could find one. The tag topper I used for the Elzybells project is from Stamping Up and it's an exclusive Big Shot die you have to buy from them. It does look a lot like the nesties one, which I don't have yet... I was gonna see how long it took me to hold out on buying and see if this one would do. This is the first time I have used it also, and I have had my machine since Oct!! If ya have any more questions you can email me at my AOL account...paulatracy66@aol.com. Have a wonderful day!

Oh Sarah, I hope your feeling better about things, I totally sympathise with you, honey. I used to be a Team Leader in a very busy payroll dept and we had this sort of thing all the time. You end up becoming very thick skinned over time, and like everyone has already said it is not you they are getting at its the system. Take care sweetie and I hope you had a fab day at the NEC buying lots of new stash.
    Big Hugs Tab xxx
