Belated Father's Day Card

Monday, 4 July 2011
Good Morning All! Hopefully you're recovering from the shock of a 3rd day of posting!  This is a scheduled post as I should be at work now, but whilst typing this I'm currently watching the Men's Final at Wimbledon!

I realised that I didn't show you the Father's Day card that I'd made for my dad.  I posted my Father-in-Laws but completely forgot my dad's; sorry dad!  I used another of the male LOTV stamps, I think this one is called Footy Ted.  I wasn't brave enough to try and recreate my football team's colours as it would've been blue and white hoops and I don't think I could've worked out the shading properly!  He's been coloured with copics and the papers are from Pink Petticoat again.  The sentiment is an Elzybells stamp.  In my dad's case it should ready "There are only two things in life; Football & Bowls!"  The cardstock is some of my favourite Bazzil Basics.

I don't think he looks too bad now does he?? I was concerned that I might have overdone the brown polychromo but it looks fine now.  I do need a new pot to put my sansador in with the sponge as my first one leaked and it's not something you want to smell to often!!  In our LOTV class they used Flowersoft pots with a bath sponge soaking it.

I'd best go as hubby is just starting to dish up my Sunday dinner (Confusing when this is posting Monday morning!! LOL).

Thank you again for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

xx :0)

Congratulations!

 THIS IS MY SECOND POST TODAY, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY PREVIOUS POST

Blimey, 3 posts in 2 days!! I'm in shock!

I didn't think I'd be back today but I sat making an engagement card for a friend at work who has just got engaged.  Her fiancé proposed at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower, very romantic!!

I was looking through my stamps trying to decide what to use when I found this Penny Johnson stamp that I've had for over year and never inked up!  The cardstock was a sheet of Bazzil that I love and it was my last sheet!  The paper is from a Forever Friends pad and the embossing is using the Love Language folder from Cuttlebug.  I made a border using my MS Lace Valentine border punch and finished off with some ribbon and a bow that I made using my Bow Easy.

I've followed the sketch from The Sweet Stop.  I did have to adapt it slightly as I'd embossed the second panel the wrong way, I hope that's okay!  I'm also entering this into the Little Claire's Challenge which is Pink & Brown.  My little bears are brown and the rest as you can see is pink!!

I would also like to enter this into Stampavie & More which is More than 3 Layers
I hope you all enjoyed your Sunday.  I was gutted to see Rafa lose Wimbledon but hey ho, c'est lá vie!

Thank you for stopping by again and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

More Hugs!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope the sun is shining as brightly wherever you are like as it is here in Berkshire.  I know, pinch yourself, a post two days running!  One of the side effects on one of my meds at the moment is restlessness so I can't sit still too much at the moment without fidgeting so whilst hubby is catching some extra zzzzz's I thought I would make another card.

I'd coloured two of the Me To You bears that I used on yesterdays card so I had to use him up otherwise he'd be a bit lonely.  I was inspired to make this card after quickly visiting the fabulous Debby's blog and seeing the card she'd posted here.  I don't know about you, but I love visiting Debby's blog as her cards are amazing!

I've followed a similar theme with my card using predominately white embossed backgrounds and some gorgeous purple bazzill card.  I finished off with a punched daisy strip using my MS punch and some rhinestones.

Supplies:
Stamp: It's Me! - Me To You; Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black & Copics;
CS: Bazzill Basics; Tools: Love Language folder - Cuttlebug, Daisies Folder- Crafts Too, Oval Nestabilities, MS Deep Edge Punch
Embellishments: Flower and Rhinestones - Stash - Craftwork Cards sentiment

This card is for a very good crafty friend who's in need of a hug right now so this is winging it's way to her very soon.

I'm entering this into the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge.

I hope you all have an enjoyable Sunday whatever you're up to.  I may tune into Wimbledon a bit later even though Murray didn't make the final.  Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

GDT - PBSC #141 - More than one fold

Saturday, 5 March 2011
Good Morning all!! I can't believe that I can finally say this out loud......the lovely Beth emailed me a few weeks ago and asked if I'd like to be March Guest Designer on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge!  Me?!?  I've had a massive smile on my face ever since I found out!

Our challenge for this week is to make a card with more than 1 fold.  I chose to make a diamond fold card.  I've only made one before, at a card class last year.  As this is only 4" square once closed, I wanted to keep any embellishments to an absolute minimum so as not to clutter it.

 Supplies:
Stamps: Looking at You & Thinking of You - Penny Black; Ink: Copics
CS: Bazzil CS; Tools: Just My Type - CB Border Folders

I took extra shots as the sentiment wasn't showing on the main image.  As I said, it's very simple, not a lot on the card.

Please check out the amazing DT cards and I hope you will join us.

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Birthday Wishes

Thursday, 27 January 2011
I know, it's a shock! 2 posts in less than 24 hours!  I hope you're having a good morning.  This is a scheduled post for me as I'm currently at work.

I've another card for you and this is for the lovely Jenny who's birthday it is today!  I worked with Jenny during the Just Cute Bears days and feel privileged to have had a chance to get to know her and work with her as she has such an amazing talent.

As Jenny loves Penny Black stamps, I just had to use one of my PB stamps on her card.

 Supplies:
Stamp: Gentlest Kiss - Penny Black; Medium: Copics
CS & DP: Bazzill Basics, Henbury Lane - Papermania
Tools: Circle & Scallop Nesties, MS Daisy Deep Edge Punch
Embellishments: Sentiment - Craftwork Cards, Gems - Stash

A close up of this cutie!

I would like to enter this card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is January Sales.  I didn't actually get any crafty bargains in the sales due to my stash diet, but this stamp was a bargain at half price at he last show that I went to so I hope this qualifies!

I am also entering this card into the Sketch Saturday Challenge as I followed their sketch for this card.

I hope to spend this evening catching up on all your amazing work, I can't wait!  Such a shame that work gets in the way of all this fun!

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Just Cute Bears #11 - Yellow & Green

Sunday, 4 April 2010
Happy Easter to you all! Make sure you don't eat too much chocolate otherwise you'll make yourself sick.

Being a Sunday means that it's time for another Just Cute Bears challenge. Thank you to everyone that entered last week, I know it was a bit of a difficult challenge. I did enjoy visiting all the blogs and seeing your wonderful creations.

Before I tell you the challenge for the week, I would like to tell you that, for April, we have been joined by the wonderful Helen! This week's challenge is a colour combo for you. We'd like you see Green & Yellow on your creations. This isn't a usual combo for me so wasn't all that easy. I knew straight away that I wanted to use this cute Lili of the Valley stamp though. The layout is fairly simple. The CS is two different shades of Bazzil Basics and the yellow is Core'dinations. The embossed panel has been made using the Paisley cuttlebug folder, the ribbon is from my stash and the flowers are from Prima.
I was quite shocked at how similar my card was to the fabulous Jenny's creation! Please check out the rest of amazing DT girlies cards. We are sponsored by Cuddly Buddly.

Hope you all have a lovely day. Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Just Cute Bears #6 - Mint & Brown

Sunday, 28 February 2010
Another week has gone by and I've been another bad blogger and card maker. I can only apologise yet again.

It's time for another Just Cute Bears Challenge. Thank you to everyone that took part last week, I saw some amazing cards out there. Please check the blog to see last weeks lucky winner.

This weeks challenge is a colour combo of Mint & Brown. These are two colours that I don't use very often, certainly not together so I found it a challenge in itself! We are once again sponsored by the amazing Cuddly Buddly

I'm conscious that all my cards so far have featured Forever Friends bears so I was determind to use one of my other many cute bears for this card and who better than Cutie Patootie from Elyzbells. I've also made a C6 card for a change too. The CS is Bazzil Basics. I simply mounted the green onto the brown before mounting onto the card blank. I then cut another strip of the brown CS and puunched both sides with the MS Doily Lace Punch before attaching some green and white polka dot ribbon. The flower is from Hero Arts and was cream until I coloured it with my Copics. The image has also been coloured with Copics before being cut using oval nesties and mounted onto a brown scallop oval.

Please check out the blog to see the rest of the DT's awesome cards!

I haven't attached a sentiment at the present time as I'm not sure what I'm going to use if for just yet, but I think it could cover a multitude of occasions.

I'm sorry about the slightly wonky photo, I'm not sure what happened there! It was definitely standing straight when I took the photo!

Thank you for stopping by and for the comments you leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Just Cute Bears #1 - One For The Girls

Sunday, 24 January 2010
I can't believe it, my first card as a DT Member! I'm so excited!!

Today is the first challenge of the Just Cute Bears challenge blog and it's One For The Girls! We want to see your girlie creations whether it be a card, ATC, gift etc.

We're extremely lucky as we're being sponsored by the fabulous Cuddly Buddly Crafts

I used one of my Forever Friends stamps for this card. This stamp was part of an exclusive range from The Glitter Pot (I think they currently have it half price!). Before I stamped the image, I created a word circle for my sentiment to surround it. You can find instructions on how to create a word circle here.

Supplies
Stamp: Daisy Bear - Forever Friends; Inks: Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black;
CS & Paper: Bazzil Basics, Bristol Board;
Tools: Nestabilities Swiss Dots & D'vine Swirls CB Folders, MS Doily Lace punch;
Embellishments: Prima flowers, gems & brads

I made this card for the lovely Michelle who has been feeling under the weather just recently and I knew purple is her favourite colour.

So, what are you waiting for?! Dig out those cute little bears and join in the fun!

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #50

Monday, 18 January 2010
I think I really need to try and conquer my "fear" of sketches this year! I don't know what it is about them that I'm not keen on, maybe it's the fact that I just don't get on with patterned paper which is a big requirement for the sketches with numerous layers. I'm very much a "Clean & Simple" kind of girl. Anyway, I had a look around at some of the current challenges and thought I'd break myself in gently with the sketch at The Pink Elephant

I had been colouring up a batch of "romantic" images at the weekend including some that had not seen ink before. I'm ashamed to say the stamp I have used for this card was one of them! it also gave me the chance to use my MS Valentine Lace punch for the first time (which offence is worse?!)

I went for this lovely purple BB CS as I thought it complimented the colours of the image really well. I also didn't want to get stuck in the rut of always using red for these types of occasions.

A close up of the image. I'm really pleased with how the mice look,

Supplies:
Stamps: Cupful of Love - Penny Black; Hero Arts Sentiment; Inks: Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black, Lilac Brilliance Ink;
CS & Paper : Bazzill Basics!, Bristol Board ; Tools: Sizziz D'vine Swirls CB Folder Nestabilities,MS Valentine Lace Punch

Just seen that this is also eligible for a couple more challenges:

Crafty Ann's Challenge - Embossing

Your Next Stamp - Embossing

If anyone can give me some pointers or tips on how I can overcome my fear of sketches, they would be greatly appreciated!

I hope everyone is having a lovely evening. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and any comments you may leave.

Season's Tweetings

Saturday, 28 November 2009
I was up at 7:30am this morning and made a couple of cards before going Christmas shopping with my mum and dad. Just chilling now with the football. I'll probably make a couple more cards later, before watching the X Factor. Who are you voting for?? I'm routing for Danyl as he's from my home town but I also love little Joe and also Stacey!

Well, I told you that I loved this weeks Mojo Monday sketch and I have to warn you that you may be seeing it a few more times yet! I've adapted slightly for this card. I've used another of my favourite Elzybells stamps featuring that cute reindeer! I thought that I had the "Seasons Tweetings" sentiment to go with it but have not been able to find it, so I'll probably have to generate it on my PC. I'm sorry about the photo quality, the light still wasn't that great this morning and I didn't want to overdo it with the software.

I've used my two favourite shades of Bazzill blue. I love these colours and always have to make sure I've got some in stock as they're great for Xmas, men and baby cards.

Supplies:
Stamps: Reindeer & Robin - Elzybells; Inks: Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black
CS & Paper : Bazzil Basics, Bristol Board ; Tools: Snow Dots CB Folder, Nestabilities, MS Doily Lace Punch, X-Cut Snowflake punch

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. Tomorrow looks to be a pretty miserable day, perfect excuse to spend the day making cards (before the Arsenal - Chelsea match)!

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

More Christmas Cards

Tuesday, 11 August 2009
I'm sorry it's taken me this long to post the remaining cards that I made during my craft day with Nikola. I kept feeling poorly on and off last week and we also had some work done outside the flat on Friday and Saturday, so didn't really have much time. I'm pleased to say that I'm now feeling better and have put the finishing touches to these cards.

Supplies:
Stamps: Reindeer & Robin - Elzybells; Inks: Memento TB & Copics;
CS & DP: Bazzill Basics & Doodlebug
Tools: Rectangle Nestabilities, Argyle CB Folder
Embellishments: Gems - Papermania, Senitment - CWC, Silver Border Peel-off - Papermania

Supplies:
Stamps: Reindeer & Star - Elzybells; Inks: Memento TB & Copics;
CS & DP: Papermania & DCWV Christmas Stack;
Tools: Rectangle Nestabilities, Swiss Dots CB Folder;
Embellishments: Gems - Papermania, Senitment - CWC, Silver Border Peel-off - Papermania

Supplies:
Stamps: Forever Friends - Set of 3 Christmas set; Inks: Memento TB & Copics;
CS: Papermania & CWC;
Tools: Oval Nestabilities, Argyle CB Folder; Embellishments: Sentiment - CWC

I have used my favourite red card from Papermania and Bazzil Basic blues for these cards. I hate to use them for fear of running out and not being able to get them ever again, but they are perfect colours for Christmas!

I hope everyone is having a lovely day. Thank you for stopping by and any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

A productive craft day!

Saturday, 25 July 2009
I hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday. We've had some lovely weather here today which makes a change to the rain we've had most of the week.

Anyway, I've spent the day with my best friend, Nikola crafting away in her conservatory. I managed to make 5 Christmas cards amidst the chatter and cats! Rather than post them all today though, I thought I would spread them out over a couple of days.

I've used my cute Forever Friends Santa stamps again, isn't he adorable?!? I'm hoping that this is acceptable for the Winter Wonderland Challenge which is Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I know it's a little late!
Supplies:
Stamps: Santa - Forever Friends; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics & Rangers Inkessential White pen
CS & DP: Papermania card, DCWV The Christmas Stack
Tools: Swiss Dots CB Folder, Circle nestabilities
Embellishments: Gems - Papermania, Sentiment - CWC oval; Anita's peel off borders

I was really happy with the colouring and shading of this image, I'm finally starting to love my pens!

The second card uses the really sweet Reindeer & Robin stamp from Elzybells. I was inspired to get these stamps after seeing some amazing cards by Michelle last Christmas. He is so sweet!

Supplies:
Stamps: Reindeer & Robin - Elzybells; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics & Rangers Inkessential White pen;
CS: Bazzill Basics and CWC white card;
Tools: Snowflake CB Folder, Square nestabilities
Embellishments: Gems - Papermania, Sentiment - CWC oval; Anita's peel off borders

I know the cards are fairly simple, but that's my style!
I'm just sitting down now to watch Marley & Me so I will see you later! Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Confessions of a Shopaholic!

Sunday, 19 July 2009
Afternoon all! Have you been enjoying your weekend? Jon and I have been having a slight sport fest with The Open and The Ashes on, flicking back and forth between the two! I have managed to make a couple of cards too.

I was asked to make a card for someone who loves shoes and the first stamps that came into mind were the Retail Therapy set from Elzybells. With that thought came the fantastic card that Michelle made during the sneak peek releases for this set and I just had to CASE it! I didn't have any black Bazzil Swiss Dots card, so I went with this gorgeous pink. The stripped ribbon across the centre is from SU! which I acquired from the lovely Jules. For a change I have also included a picture of the inside. I don't usually do much on the inside, but I wanted to include a couple of the images from the set without cluttering the front of the card.

When I finished the card, I realised that it fitted this weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which this week is to include spots (card) and stripes (ribbon).
I do plan to start making some Christmas cards now, although one of my new years resolutions was to make a couple each week. Didn't quite keep that one! I don't want to leave it too late and then just not enjoy making them. Have you started yours yet?!?
Thanks for stopping by and any comments you leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - My Favourite Things

Saturday, 11 July 2009
Well, the fayre (school fete) wasn't the success that Nikola and I were hoping for. For some reason we, and a couple of other people, were placed away from the main area and because of that, people bypassed us. I only sold 3 cards, but I'm not going to let it get me down this time. It was an experience and I've come away with some more ideas of other projects that I can do.

Anyway, another card I knocked up yesterday is eligible for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. The challenge this week, My Favourite Things, is to use your favourite items on your card. I had so many cards that could have fitted this challenge, but I settle for this one. My favourite items on this card are my swiss dots embossing folder and my MS lace doily punch! Penny Black stamps are also one of my favourite stamps, but then I have too many to choose!

Supplies:
Stamps: A Gift For You - Penny Black; Inks: Memento TB, Copics
CS: Craftwork Cards, Bazzil Basics; Tools: Swiss Dots CB, Oval Nestabilities, MS Lace Doily punch, Scor-Pal
Embellishments: Ribbon - Stash, Gems - Papermania
The inspiration behind this layout came from the wonderful Sue Nelson over at Heart Prints. If you've never visited her site before, you must check it out!
Thanks for stopping by again and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Stamptacular Sunday - Fabulous Fathers

Wednesday, 17 June 2009
Another day and another challenge that I've participated in! I needed to get my Father's Day card finished by tomorrow as my dad is off on his hols on Saturday and tomorrow is the last day that I will see him. The stamp that I've used for this card was made just for my dad and I knew the minute I saw it on the Elzybells site that I had to get it! The card also fits with this weeks Stamptacular Sunday which is to make something for our fabulous fathers.

Supplies:
Stamps: Snoozing Ted & Take it Easy - Elzybells - Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black & Copics
CS: Bazzill Basics, Doodlebug Design Paper Potpourri DP
Tools: Swiss Dots CB folder, Label 2 Nestabilities, Fiskars Threading Water border punch
Embellishments: Ribbon - Stash, Gems - Papermania

I'm a bit worried that it looks too feminine for a guy so am not totally impressed with it. I would really appreciate any comments and suggests you may have.

Elzybells Birthday Competition

Saturday, 13 June 2009
During the month of June Elzybells are celebrating their 1st birthday! Check out their blog for some amazing offers that Elizabeth has as well as challenges to take part in.

This week Elizabeth would like anything but a card with a birthday theme. I have made two items for this challenge, a pillow box for a girl and a gift card holder for a boy.

On my trip to the NEC, I purchased a pillow treat box template from WS Desgins and this is the first time that I've used it! It wasn't too difficult to put together, the only fiddly bit was trying to score on the curves. I created a purple band to go round the box that I could affix the image. The card has also been put through my good ole cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder.

Supplies:
Stamps: Party Teddies - Elzybells; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
CS: Papermania, Bazzill Basics; Tools: Swiss Dots CB Folder, Oval Nestabilites,
Pillow Box Template - WS Designs

I saw the tutorial for the gift card holder on the fabulous No Time To Stamp? blog. Sharon Johnson has some amazing creations, you really must go and check her out. I have to apologies for the peg in the photo. I was trying to take it lying down, but the flap kept raising as I haven't got round to adding anything to close it.

Supplies:
Stamps
: Footie Ted & Football- Elzybells; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics & Versacolour
CS: Bazzill Basics; Tools:Happy Birthday CB Folder, Rectangle Nestabilites,

Just to show you the inside and that any gift card will fit in perfectly, with room to spare!

I'm really pleased with how both of these turned out and will definitely be making more in the future. I hope you like them too.
Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Birthday Wishes

Saturday, 30 May 2009
I'm a bit late showing this card, almost as late as it was in getting to it's recipient, Michelle.

I've used on of my new Elzybells stamps and got the inspiration for this creation from one of Michelle's own cards
Supplies:
Stamps: Butterfly Ted & Everyday Greetings - Elzybells
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & Copics; CS: SU Whisper White & Bazzil Basics
Tools: Circle nestabilities, Swiss Dots CB Folder
Embellishments: Gems - Papermania, Ribbon - Meiflower

I'm sorry for the poor photo, this was taking really early in the morning and I didn't realise how poor it was until I looked at it on my pc. Even with a daylight lamp, it still looks poor.

I'm currently trying to get some bits organised for this fair in July and have been stamping out lots of images ready for colouring, so I apologise if I go missing for a while. I am really nervous about doing this so any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Hope everyone is enjoying the glorious weather again. Thank you for stopping by, your support and encouraging comments mean so very much.

Happy Easter! - Friday Sketchers #47

Sunday, 12 April 2009
Happy Easter everyone! Hope you get lots of yummy chocolate eggs to enjoy as it's the one day of the year we needn't feel guilty about eating it!

As I said in my previous post, I must try and start participating in a few more challenges so I thought "why not check out the Friday Sketchers challenge this week?" Jacqueline has come up with a fabulous sketch for us to follow and I couldn't wait to try it out.

I used the cute Hunny Bunnies from CC Designs that I got from Dies to Die For. I've coloured with copics before cutting out with oval nesties and mounting onto a scalloped oval. The base is made up of using a piece of last years DCWV Spring Stack pack and adhered to some pale blue bazzill basics card which I have also used for the strip across the top. I've cut the swirl from a Sizzix die (scribble swirl I think). The sentiment is from Elyzbells. I've finished off by adding some gemstones.

It's a bit different for me as I'm not used to using dp, but wanted to give it a go. I've tried to coordinate the colours on the paper with those that I've used to colour my bunny. Any tips on how I can improve would be greatly appreciated!

Have a great day everyone and thank you for stopping by.

Holy Cow!

Monday, 23 March 2009
Can you believe that I forgot to make my Line Manager a birthday card for her birthday last week??? She was on leave and I had intended to make one for the week before hand to give to her, but then all that trouble with the agent flared up and it went out of my head completely! Anyway, I wanted to make up for it and had the perfect sentiment!

I used my S-moo-ches set from Elzybells and stamped out the Angel Cow and the sentiment "Holy Cow! I forgot your birthday!) The image was coloured with copics before being cut out with circle nestabilities. I realised afterwards that I should have glittered the wings for extra effect. The base is made up of two blue shades of Bazzill Basics. The lower half has been embossed with the Spots and Dots folder. To break up the space, I cut a strip of the darker shade and some white card before adding some blue satin ribbon and gem stones. To finish off, I added some photo corners.

I really wasn't sure about the card when I made it, but Jon kept saying how great it was. I am still a bit low on confidence and belief. I keep getting ideas, but when it comes to making anything, my mind just goes blank and I get frustrated. I would love to be able to work with patterned papers but I just don't know where to begin. I would be extremely grateful for any tips or advice anyone would give me.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated.

Mojo Monday #76

Wednesday, 4 March 2009
I loved this weeks Mojo Monday sketch and couldn't wait to have a go, but my card has sort of deviated from it slightly. I hope that's okay and that it's still eligible.

I've made this Get Well Soon card for someone who's been feeling slightly under the weather. I used the cute Boo Boo Bear from Whipper Snapper Designs and coloured him with Copics and mounting onto dark purple bazzill basics cs. The base is simply to pieces of purple bazzill layered onto a white card blank. The middle strip has been embossed with the D'vine Swirls folder, mounted on bazzill cs. I have then wrapped some satin ribbon round the middle before adding a bow. The finishing touches are the obligatory gemstones!

The centre strip ended up being too long as the sentiment was meant to be along the bottom!! Also, the square panels are larger than stated, but I was worried there would be too much white showing. I just hope the changes are acceptable as I really love this card.

Jon loved the card that I had hidden in his bag, said it was really sweet! I was so worried that he wouldn't find it so was happy when he rang me last night! I have to admit that I've not got as much crafting done as I would've liked in his absence. I've been doing little jobs when I get home from work that have been eating into my time, but I wouldn't be able to concentrate knowing they needed doing.

Thanks for stopping by and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
