The Great Unwashed......

........have descended on Reading so that must mean it's festival time again!!

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against festival-goers, but I hate how my town becomes invaded for 5 days. I left work early as I wanted to go to Waterstones and treat myself to some new books and it was just a nightmare, especially around the station where they were just piling out in droves.

My dislike of the festival started at a very early age. My mum had taken my sister and I into town and as a treat she took us into a Wimpy restaurant. On the way out I was confronted by two festival-goers throwing up right in front of me!! Nice!

Anyway, I've treated myself to 8(!) new books. I didn't mean to get that many but there were too many offers on and I just couldn't choose!

I really hope to get back to making some cards as it's mine and Jon's 1st wedding anniversary coming up and I'd like to present him with a homemade card.

I'm also getting excited about Ally Pally and having a good spend up with my very good friend Nikola.

Fingers crossed it won't be long until you see a new card from me. I think I'm just a bit scared/nervous about making a card as it's been so long. Maybe I should start off with something simple and let it go from there.

Finally I would like to thank everybody for the kind words of support you have been sending me in my absence.

xx :0)
